Music
Music is an important aspect of our worship at St Mungo’s.
Our hymns range from the more traditional Anglican hymns found in ‘Hymns Ancient & Modern New Standard’ to some newer hymns from ‘New Hymns and Worship Songs (2001)’.
We also enjoy hymns and praise songs from a more contemporary and charismatic tradition from time to time. In the near future we shall be moving to a regular schedule on the first Sunday of the month being a service where praise songs predominate.
Our music is supported by talented keyboard players who play our electronic organ to accompany our Sunday worship. From time to time we enjoy people who help support our music ministry playing other instruments such as the harp and flute.
Our services on Zoom on Sunday evenings and Wednesday evenings use a range of hymns and praise songs as well as chants from Taizé (see www.taize.fr/en) and also songs the Iona Community and around the world.
